This update outlines the progress made on the community priorities set for your area by the Local Policing Inspector John TROUP in collaboration with the Safer Neighbourhood Supervisors, Sgt Chris GRANT and PCSO Supervisor Karl MILLWARD.

New priorities are determined by analysing local crime trends and incorporating feedback from you, the community, through engagement events, surveys and direct contact. SNT AREA – Bakewell Safer Neighbourhood Team
The previous priorities were: - Illegal Use of Jacob Ladder – Stoney Middleton Nuisance Motorbikes – Moss Rake Quarry – Bradwell Speeding on Greaves Lane – Ashford in Water Anti-social Behaviour in Rowsley
Action Taken: In relation to above priorities, we have implemented a Partnership Problem Solving Plan in collaboration with key members of the Community Safety Partnership. This plan takes a holistic approach to addressing issues and around above issues with all partners working towards a shared objective while taking responsibility for their respective areas of focus. From a policing perspective, we have led on enforcement activity by conducting both high-visibility and plain clothed patrols, alongside proportionate stop searches of individuals and vehicles. These efforts have resulted in positive outcomes in relation to motoring offences and the recovery of drugs from time to time. To further support these initiatives, we organised and delivered consecutive joint patrols covering above priorities. These operations were carried out in partnership with the Roads Policing Unit, Rural Crime Team, and our neighbouring Safer Neighbourhood Team. The focus was on tackling offences involving off-road motorcycles being used in an anti-social manner. In relation to Anti-Social Behaviour, our Safer Neighbourhood Team has carried out several patrols in the Rowsley area and engaged with the community including local schools which improved situation in the area and reduced calls for service. These outcomes reflect our continued commitment to tackling crime , Anti-Social Behaviour and maintain community safety through proactive policing.
